Private houses and shops in Pompeii
The House of Apollo -
named so because of the above statue
of Apollo in the courtyard.  This house also
had an awesome private garden, meaning it belonged to a family or person of the upper class.
Now, I know this has historical value,
which I respect, but doesn't that Appollo
statue above look like the biggest
fairy dancing around?
The Atrium
Representing a style of house that was common to the upper and middle class.
The Bakery!!!
" Baking Bread Since 62 A.D.! "

This is where locals would go to get
their Sunday rolls and fresh-baked bread.
All the ovens are still in pretty good shape.
The Road Less Travelled...
Entrance to a secret garden...oooooh....
Many of the ex-houses in Pompeii had nothing to
recover, so they have ovegrown into cute little grassy
gardens and tons of little mazed passageways. I loved exploring these areas!!
