Perhaps the most impressive feature of this house is the inner-foyer ceiling, which Gaudí designed to mimic the night sky. |

|
Subtly sloping upwards towards a central opening that permits in even the softest moonlight, the ceiling's collection of tiny holes allows the light to shine through and sparkle like stars. This way, the Güell family could look up at their own ceiling at any time and feel as if they were looking out into the vast universe. |

In daylight, sun streams in through the various openings to brighten the house. |

If that isn't impressive enough, every room of the house is lavished in grandeur... from the details in the ceiling to the furnishings of the study. |
