We LOVED our hostel! It was inside this castle-like building near the university. Once you got inside it was all dark & had an abandoned elevator shaft around which the stairwell wrapped - very eerie & gothic, which I love! You had to climb to the secodn floor or so, but when you got there, the door opened to a world of youthful color! The beds were arranged in curtained lofts in several rooms around a central kitchen, hallway, & bathroom. We even had a masseuse come in & gave whoever wanted one a massage one day!Museum Youth Guest House

At the time it was only 9 Euros a night (it's gone up now to 11 or so, based on what a friend told me who stayed there on my recommendation afterwards, but still abargain!) It was in convenient walking distance to everything, including a delicious restaurant where Liam, Omar & I dined like kings - had 3 courses plus wine for the equivalent of 4 Euros each (same as $4 at the time)! It was great. There was also a subsay station nearby where a woman had a bakery cart and sold these cinnamon-pretzel-type things that I still dream about to this day. The smell would waft through the entire station.... Mouth-watering!

Love the caged entrance - no curfew!

We had agroup of rowdy Australians in there too (who stayed in THIS room pictured here, I believe!) who were up to all hours of the night drinking & partying! Needless to say, we had ablast here! Room 8
